Collect for Club Women
Our Special 'Collect,' a Symbol of Dedicated Sisterhood and Commitment to Kindness
For years, women's clubs across Canada, the United States, Britain, and beyond have incorporated a prayer into their meetings' opening or closing ceremonies. Mary Stewart penned this prayer in 1904 while serving as principal of Longmont High School in Colorado. Recognizing the significance of women collaborating for noble purposes, she crafted what became known as the 'Collect For Club Women.'
